A Tour of

MakeHaven is a "full makerspace and Fab Lab." For anyone who's unfamiliar with the so-called "Maker Movement," it is a perfect example of how American innovation and entrepreneurship are evolving and resisting traditional avenues of collaboration through makerspaces, or spaces created by entrepreneurs for attracting innovative people. They are publically available workshops which not only foster creativity, but offer the perfect environment for collaboration. The tools and facilities they provide may otherwise be financially out of reach for the individual - which is what makes it so exciting!

The MakeHaven facility includes tools and equipment for 3d Printing, CNC Wood Milling, Laser Cutting, General Wood Working, Electronics, Home Brewing, Metal CNC Machining, Sewing/Crafting, and Vacuum Forming.

  • This tour is scheduled to coincide with Makers Week, so we can expect to see a wide variety of projects being worked on.
